A bit of my social connection compromised…

I found out today via the grapevine that my stagnant Mxit (a mobile IM) account was compromised. At first, I thought I had just forgot my password but after receiving a few odd questions from a friend or two, I decided to utilize the “I forgot my password feature”, a few seconds later and I see that the password was a weird ass one.

So I signed in, changed my password and discovered that several other details had been changed?! So I changed them while I was at it. Seems that the impersonator was “female” under the pseudonym “Tazz”, haha. Still dunno what the impersonator said to others yet are the extent of the impersonation…

You could say that I was lucky but it makes you ponder… what would you do if someone hacked your account? (probably an employee of the co. saw my stagnation and thought I wouldn’t notice or miss my account, luckily it’s connected to my mobile)

So what would you do if it were an account you used quite often? Facebook, twitter or even.. *dum* *dum* *dum* allrecipes.com?
